Patty Renee Heaton

Mrs. Patty Renee Buchanan Heaton, age 53, of Epworth, GA, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, April 2, 2020. She was born in Copperhill, TN, on July 6, 1966, to the late Glenn & Judith Faye Davis Buchanan. She was a member of Bethel Church and worked at Peoples Bank in Ducktown. Patty was a beacon of joy and light to everyone she knew. Her infectious laugh brought joy to so many. She was a lover of travel, shopping, and beach-going. And of course, she was an avid Tennessee football fan. She goes on to her heavenly home to be with her parents, Rev. Glenn & Judith Faye Buchanan and In-laws, Rev. Douglas and Opal Heaton.

Patty will be remembered by all who knew her, but especially missed by her loving husband, James Michael "Jim" Heaton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Stacy (David) Dailey and Glenda (Eddie) Rayborn; brother & sister-in-law, Joey (Missey) Buchanan, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Doug Heaton, Jr., Faron Heaton, John (Cindy) Heaton and Karen Hicks. Also sharing in her legacy are four nieces, two great-nieces, numerous nephews, and her two beloved puppies, Max and D.J.

A private service will be held at Bethel Church, followed by interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Joey Buchanan and Rev. Doug Payne will officiate with special music provided by J.W Patterson, Bennie & T.C. Pickelsimer with Rick Curtis, as well as, Stephanie & Haley Ensley. Nathan Heaton, Zachary Rayborn, Joey Buchanan, Chris Heaton, Jared Heaton, and Nathan Pless have been selected to serve as pallbearers.
