Phyllis Seitz Bowman

May 11, 1937 — February 6, 2021

Phyllis passed from this life to her heavenly home on February 6th, 2021. She was a member of Coosa United Methodist Church in Blairsville where she had resided for 18 years. Born May 11, 1937 in Pennsylvania to William and Sara Seitz, and graduated from Cape May High School, New Jersey in 1955 and married Peter Bowman in 1957. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in 2020. They had 5 children: Timothy, Dorinda, Jeneise, Matthew and Jeffrey. Phyllis was predeceased by parents; daughter, Dorinda; sister, Nancy and brother, Bill. Phyllis retired from GTE in St. Pete, Florida in June 1995, the same day as her husband retired from the city of St Pete Water Dept, and they bought a RV and headed out that day and full timed for 6 years and have camped off and on ever since. She and her husband enjoyed traveling visiting every state and several foreign countries, and especially enjoyed cruising.
A memorial service was held at Coosa United Methodist Church with Bill Burke officiating and burial was held at the Presbyterian Cemetery in Helen by her daughter.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Peter; sons: Timothy, Matthew, Jeffery; Daughter Jeneise; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; sister Faith Ryan, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the Salvation Army Southeast Division in Atlanta, Georgia.
