Rev. Howard Clyde Roberts

Rev. Howard Clyde Roberts, age 95, of Murphy, passed away Tuesday morning, August 24, 2021, at the Medical Center in Decatur, GA. Mr. Roberts was born July 23, 1926, in Robbinsville, NC, to the late Daniel Boone Roberts and late Pansey Grindstaff Roberts. Howard was a World War II Navy veteran and served as a longtime area pastor for Martin Hill, Hayesville, NC, Pleasant Valley, Murphy, NC, Fairview, Macon, GA, Bell Hill, Murphy, NC, and Dry Creek, Graham Co., NC. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Christine Roberts, brothers, Dillard Roberts and Glenn Roberts, sisters, Harriett McCall and Lynda Hendrik

Survivors include his wife, Mary Sneed Roberts, sons, Roger Dale Roberts wife Debbie and Ronnie Gene Roberts wife Diana, brother, Ray Roberts, seven grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

Funeral services: Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 2:00 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel of Murphy, NC, with Rev. Lawrence English officiating. Music provided by Bobby Sneed and Kathy Seabolt. Interment will follow in the Valleytown Cemetery in Andrews, NC. Pallbearers: the following men of Bell Hill Church, Bobby Sneed, Ted Sneed, Timothy Chastain, and Richard Hawkins.

The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy, NC, Thursday, August 26, 2021, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
