Rita Hamby, age 79 after a lifelong adventure of exploring and living life to the fullest, went on to be with the Lord in heaven on May 14, 2020. Rita was a fun and loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed exploring new places with her cousin Ellen Clark. Lake Tahoe was their favorite location and said it was "the most beautiful place in the world." They would travel by trains, planes, and horse and buggy rides in the snow.

She loved animals and her curly-haired fur baby Tippy. She had a passion for cooking, especially large events! Rita loved people and enjoyed being around them. She never had an unkind word to say about anyone. She would love to ride around and look at the scenery. To daughter Lisa, Rita was her best friend, they did everything together. To son Sean, she was the coolest mom on the planet. Rita cared for her kids unconditionally. She loved life and fought hard in the last few months. She will be missed greatly but has been joyously reunited with her parents and brother John.
