My partner in life for over 30 years.

We loved, cried and laughed with each other.

You always had a story to tell and a smile on your face.

Oh, some of the jokes and stories you would tell.

As I rolled my eyes and said, not that one AGAIN.

As it continued to flow from you like it was the first time you ever told it.

Over the years we have grown as a family and we have made many friends.

They also grieve with us in your passing.

We are blessed with three amazing young men that we both are so proud of.

I know as they continue to grow, learn and love you have been a huge part in molding these great guys.  Thank you!!

Predeceased by: mother Billie Sue Thomas; and father-in-law, Winston Pickelsimer.

Survivors include: wife, Angie Thomas; father, Bob Thomas; sons, Tyler Russell Thomas, Anthony "Tony" Ryan (& girlfriend Sydney Baxter) Thomas, and Taylor Robert Thomas; brothers, Roger (Deanna) Thomas and Ricky (Christie) Thomas, nephews, Casey Thomas, Evan Thomas, and Cody (Joselyn) Davenport; nieces, April (Logan) Wilson and Andrea (Trey) Campbell; mother-in-law, Frankie Pickelsimer; brother-in-law, Alan (Ashlee) Pickelsimer; niece, Kirsten Pickelsimer, nephews, Hunter Bryson and Cayden Bigham; niece, Maleia Bigham; and family friend, Robert Turner.

Funeral services: Thursday, December 23, 2021, at 7:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with Minister Terry Stuart officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Thursday, December 23, 2021, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Russell's name can be made to The North Georgia Mountain Crisis Network or Feed Fannin.
