Mrs. Sharon DeVon Dalton Turner, 76, of Blue Ridge passed away on Friday, September 23rd at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, following a valiant battle against cancer. She was born on May 6, 1946, in McCaysville, GA to the late Louie and Hildred Dalton. A graduate of Copper Basin High School, she retired from the Fannin County School System with 29 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Steve Dalton, and her son, Kevin Ballew.
Sharon lived every day of her life to the fullest. She loved to read, cook, garden, and attend University of Tennessee football games. Dale and Sharon loved to travel and saw all 50 states along with many foreign countries. In addition to traveling with the love of her life, Sharon adored being Nana to her 6 grandchildren. Be it a band concert, dance recital, PTA program, or a ball game, the grandkids could always count on Nana and Poppy to cheer them on from the sidelines.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dakota Ballew of Ducktown, TN, Laura Howell of Alpharetta, GA, Grant Howell of Gainesville, GA, Kylie Turner of Smith's Station, AL, and Will and Eli Rhodes of Brentwood, TN.
