Sydnie Grace Jones

Miss Sydnie Grace Jones, age 19, of Morganton, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021, at North East Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, following injures received in an automobile accident. She was born May 3, 2001, in Blue Ridge, GA, to Anthony Jones and Melinda Joy Rogers Jones. Sydnie was a lifelong resident of the area and a 2020 graduate of Fannin County High School, where she was active with the Soccer and Volleyball program. She attended The Ridge Community Church and was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Blue Ridge youth group. She enjoyed skateboarding, shopping at thrift stores, putting thrift store outfits together, spending time with friends, ice cream and candy, collecting shoes, and loved sitting on her rooftop watching sunsets.
She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Delores and James Arthur Jones.

Survivors include her parents, Anthony and Melinda Joy Jones, brothers, Connor James Jones and Andrew Hastings Jones, maternal grandparents, Sonia (Rex) Smith, and Guy (Ada) Rogers, uncle, Buddy Guy (Christine) Rogers, aunts, Melanie (James) Boyle, and Sarah Rogers, cousins, Nathan (Katy) Callihan, Natalie McLaughin, Emily (Jordan and Miley) Gray, Garrett Rogers, Wyatt Rogers, Malachy Callihan, Carson Callihan, and extended family in Virginia.

Funeral services: Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at 2:00 pm at The Ridge Community Church with Pastor Chan Mitchell and Pastor Bob Richardson officiating. Music provided by Gina Carmichael. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers: Connor Jones, Andrew Jones, Buddy Rogers, Nathan Callihan, Wyatt Rogers, Garrett Rogers, Hayden Lynch, and Malachy Callihan. Honorary pallbearers: Carson Callihan, Hudson Lynch, Bill Fircetz, Kyle Hilton, Shannon Phillips, Jeff Lynch, and Jordan Gray.

Additional seating will be available in covered pavilion area where those who choose may view live streaming of the services.

The family will receive friends at The Ridge Community Church, Tuesday, January 26, 2021, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
