Wendell Clyde Patterson

December 15, 1941 — September 23, 2020

Wendell Patterson was a father, a teacher, and an accomplished musician. He was a veteran. He was a beloved school bus driver. He always had time, or made time to talk to everyone that he saw during the course of his day. He was a shining example of what a man should be, of what a man is. He never never gave up, and never stopped trying to get better. He finally lost his battle on September 23rd, 2020. Out of all of the many, many lessons my father taught me, the final lesson Dad taught me was to never stop trying, no matter how hard the situation or circumstances. Everything I am, everything I have, I owe to my Dad, Wendell Patterson.

He is survived by a son, Andy Patterson; granddaughter, Emma Patterson; and a grandson, Matthew Patterson.

A Celebration of Wendell's Life is planned to be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2020 - CHANGE OF VENUE: Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Blairsville, with Pastor Jerry Helton officiating. Opportunities will be made available for friends to share special memories and moments.

Arrangements are entrusted to Cochran Funeral Home & Crematory of Blairsville.
